Trauma Therapy for Men in Placerville, CA & Across California
Therapy Approach
As a trauma-informed therapist, I use a variety of techniques to help unlock, process, and heal trauma that is stored in the mind and body. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am also Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed. I have found these methods to be most beneficial to clients who struggle with a range of problems, from complex trauma to more common but still impactful life challenge issues that seem to just make people feel stuck in life. I believe that there is not a "one size fits all" type of therapy, and I aim to fit the therapy experience around my clients' unique needs. You are the expert on what you are feeling and how you are experiencing life. My job is to help you find your most true, authentic self. I am Catholic myself, so for clients who are Christian, I am happy to bring faith-based practices into the therapy process as well. I find that merging the science of mental health with the Christian life has allowed those clients to find purpose and meaning within the healing process while strengthening their own walk in faith.
I work with adults and older adolescents across California seeking help with PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger, and the impact of past trauma. I also support those who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. I welcome those who feel drawn to a trauma-informed and faith-integrated approach.
I have a particular heart for first responders, law enforcement, and military personnel, as well as men who are navigating their roles as husbands and fathers.
